Less maintenance with the add-on kit
Are you using the add-on kit with the small reservoir around the electrolysis unit? Then you only need to check the water level in the reservoir.
At a setting of 50 mA, carry out these checks every one to two weeks:
Unscrew the lid and remove the hose with the reservoir from the tank.
Check whether there is still enough water in the reservoir. Top up with lime-free water or replace the water if necessary.
Check that you can still see bubbles in the reservoir.
Choose a regular time for this check to make it a simple routine.
The lime-free water in the reservoir protects the electrolysis unit against limescale. Even in areas with hard to very hard water, such as Southern Europe, no additional maintenance due to hard water is therefore required.
If deposits do occur, you can easily remove them with a little cleaning vinegar. If you have used vinegar or citric acid on the cell core, rinse it very thoroughly with clean water!

Without a jar, there is still always lime in the tap water. We advise you to follow the instructions below for descaling carefully: preferably check the electrolysis unit for limescale at a fixed time (first once a week to gain experience, later often only once every 2 or 3 weeks). In areas with hard to very hard water, such as Southern Europe, it may even be necessary to check for limescale every 3 to 4 days!
